Literature Text

alas it breaths down the depths of me
alas it bleeds from the soul's frontier
alas it lives from the anger incurred
alas it wields the weapon of total massacre

in nights of terror exhausted by life
in days of rage weakened in mind
in light despised by all that's bright
in shadows eluding a faith in sight

for it hides inside the decay of silence
for it survives only in obligate symbiosis
for it hunts in games of predator's torture
for it lurks in the heart of human nature

I shall fear no death as it calls me home
I shall stand before it in pure existence
I shall tear it apart in cries for redemption
I shall conquer myself as in mental resurrection
As it waits for me, I wait for it too.

This poem reminds me of a quote from Friedrich Nietzsche: "When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks into you."
Beautiful!
